Palm Beach Gardens, Florida – First-time lyricist, composer and producer, Jeanne Marie Tidwell, of Palm Beach Gardens’ Crystal Tree Group, received the Outstanding Composition award and one finalist nod in the Children’s category for two songs in the Great American Song contest, and was one of three finalists in the Children’s category of the international John Lennon Songwriting contest. Winners were announced the week of April 5th, 2020 for the 2019 competitions.

Along with co-composer and co-producer, Luciano “Looch” Delgado of the Miami Beach Recording Studio, Ms. Tidwell created music for her fictional band “Sir Dapp & the Paw Prints” to accompany her Sir Dapp! Game Show mobile app for children ages 5 – 8. “I literally wanted to turn up the volume on self-esteem and social survival issues that children deal with daily,” Ms. Tidwell related. With a sound that taps genres from rock, to pop, to jazz, and insightful lyrics that address the power of words, self-image, kindness and respect, the “This Is Our Time” album was created for the whole family to enjoy. “I’m so grateful to have worked with Looch, as well as Eli Jacobson and Rachel Potter, whose amazing vocals took the lyrics and composition to award-winning level,” Ms. Tidwell added.

The “This is Our Time” album has also been presented with the National Parenting Product Award, Mom’s Choice Award, and the Tilliwig Toy award for Best Family Fun.

Crystal Tree Group is a Florida-based enterprise, comprised of Jeanne Marie Tidwell and her adult sons, Steven and Kyle. Jeanne’s 2010 dream in which her family’s Schnauzer danced and rapped to an audience of enthralled children, energized her to sit down and create the Sir Dapp! project. The “Sir Dapp! Game Show” mobile app and musical album entitled “This Is Our Time” focuses on Jeanne’s unique way to get children thinking about manners, kindness and respect through fun scenarios, timeless raps, and simply great music.
